Nightlife
Learn more about Puerto Vallarta nightlife, its clubs and bars. Explore here the hottest spots in this Mexican city.
vallarta-nightlifeThe nightlife in Puerto Vallarta ends early -- about 6 a.m.

Here guests usually eat late, eight, nine, even 10 p.m. - nearly all bands don't start playing until 11 p.m. Everyone can find a place with the right music -- reggae, hard rock, flamenco, punk rock, ballroom music, pop, jazz -- even folk music can be heard in Vallarta's more bohemian haunts.

You will observe Mexican culture everywhere. Mariachis are on the streets and beaches, most every hour of the day or night. Performances varying from puppet shows to major dramas are put on in an open air theatre on the malecon and the biggest hotels held weekly folklore and festivals organized to acquaint vacationing tourists with the music, food, drink, and dance of Mexico.

The downtown malecon (beachfront walk) is the center of nightlife where many of the city's main restaurants featuring fine food provide the bands’ performances or the canned music in the late evening. The upper floors of malecon buildings are the place where you can find late night clubs.

The majority of clubs are a short taxi ride away, but if you are adventurous, you may want to explore Puerto Vallarta's nightlife walking from one spot to another along the malecon or ambling about the Olas Altas - Los Muertos neighborhood.
